Former judge of the São Paulo Tax and Rates Court. For eight years he worked alongside Paulo de Barros Carvalho, former professor of tax law at Pontifícia Universidade Católica, dealing with judicial and administrative matters, preparing reports and legal opinions. He is a professor for the tax law specialization course at School of Law of Fundação Getúlio Vargas in São Paulo (FGV-GVLAW). He also teaches at the Brazilian Institute of Tax Studies (IBET-SP) and the Pontifícia Universidade Católica. He was an assistant professor to Paulo de Barros Carvalho at the School of Law of the Universidade de São Paulo (USP). He has published several articles on tax law in specialized journals.
